AS YOU SOW,SO YOU REAP

Like the quality of the plant that depends on the nature of the seeds sown, so also the fruit or result of one’s efforts depends upon the work that one puts in. The results of labour will be good if one puts in dedicated work without sparing any efforts. One cannot expect a good result without actually working for it. Behind every success lie diligence, hard labour, industry and toil. A lazy person cannot achieve anything good as long as he is lethargic and does not exert himself or herself. However, one should also admit the effect that in the current times the person who toils or works for something does not always enjoy the fruits of that work. He is paid some wages for the hard work that he puts in and the fruits of his labour are actually reaped by the people who pay for that work. But in some cases like the examinations where3 the student’s performance is in direct proportion of the effort put in by the students, it is true that the fruit or result of one’s efforts is in direct

HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY

Honesty is one of the good qualities. An honest behavior means a behavior which is free from cheat and deceit. Honesty is based on truthfulness. It is free from all kinds of evil motive. It is said, "Honesty is the best policy". Because if we are honest people will believe us. They will give value to our words and dealings. An honest shop-keeper will fetch more customers than a dishonest shop-keeper. A dishonest shop-keeper may be profited by cheating some people for sometime. So, an honest man prospers while a dishonest man falls down. The honest man respected by all. They have a good position in the society. The honest men fare in all walks of life. So, it is said that honesty is the best policy. Honesty has certain limitations. We can deal honesty only with the honest people. But we will be troubled, if we deal honesty with the dishonest people. So, there is a saying, "tit for tat". Dishonesty should be met with dishonesty. To deal honestly with the dishones

WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY

Will-power is the greatest driving force in man. It helps him get through all the difficulties in life. Will-power is the most essential ingredient of success. It enables a person to find a way to overcome the obstacle in his path. He continues his journey towards his chosen goal. A man who loses heart at the sight of failure can never achieve his goal. But a man who is determined to attain his objectives is not disheartened by failures. One should not lose heart during adversities. The real essence of life lies in struggle. Determination and calmness help a person in his Endeavour. They provide him inspiration to achieve success. A wise man accepts the challenges of life with a calm mind. Our ancient scriptures also advocate that one should do one' duty with determination. One should have a firm determination to strive and win. Many great men won success by their sheer determination and oneness of purpose. Mahatma fought for the blacks in South Africa, His strong will-power

Might is Right

The old saying 'Power corrupts; infinite power corrupts infinitely' is the eternally true corollary to the Hitlerite slogan "Might is Right." It is a valid truth in practically every sphere of human life. 'Might', or the possession of total power by either an individual or a group seems to bring out the most universally-condemned failings of mankind; pride, arrogance, contempt of the weak, and the presumption of infallibility. it is often mingled with fear. The dangers of the 'Might is Right' doctrine are very apparent in the field of politics. If a president becomes dictator, we soon discover that democratic processes wither and die, and that ultimately, even the rule of law is challenged. The head of a police state, however, lives in fear; hence, the imprisonment of opponents, the armed escorts, the arbitrary changes of law, the oppression of minorities. Domestic and foreign affairs are handled automatically and capriciously, other coun

Prevention is better than cure

Prevention is better tnan cure” is a wise saying which has comedown to us since ages. It holds true for ever. The wisdom of the saying lies in the fact that a little effort in the early phase of a problem helps to solve it before it becomes too difficult to be solved. This principle is always observed by wise people to succeed in life. Those who do not observe this principle usually suffer even if they are intelligent and hard-working. Observance of this principle becomes a part of one’s nature ; indifference to this principle also becomes a bad habit leading to uneasy consequences. If one sees symptoms of a disease, it is advisible to immediately go to the doctor, get it diagnosed and follow the treatment. Any negligence at the earlier stages of a disease leads to complications and deterioration. Going to the doctor at a late stage will not only mean more expense but may also endanger the life of the person. Prevention is, therefore, better than cure. Unclean state of affairs in o
