Earthquake
* Introduction
- shaking and vibrating movement of earth's surface.
- vertically or horizontally movement
* Vertical Earthquake
- shaking or vibrating up and down
* Horizontal Earthquake
- shaking and vibrating across or parallel to the ground
* Hypocentre
- The inner point in the earth surface from where the earthquake originates.
* Epicentre
- The point on the surface of earth just above the hypocentre.
* Seismic wave
The waves of shaking or vibration that travel in different direction from the epicentre.
* Seismographic
- Any instrument used to measure intensity or magnitude, speed and direction of earthquake.
* Richter Scale
- A Scale ranges from 0 to 9 to measure the intensity of earthquake.
- named after American seismologist Charles F. Richter.
- Earthquake with 7 + Richter scale is destructive.
* Volcano
- The explosion of lava, magma or molten rock from the centre of the earth.
- From crack or weak part of the earth
* The recent most destructive earthquake occur on 1st Asoj 2068 with 6.8 Richter scale
* The sign of volcano is in Dullu of Dailekh in Nepal.
* Cause of Earthquake
- shifting of melted magma or lava
- movement of continental plates in different direction.
- volcanic eruption.
- bombing for different purpose.
- large deposit of eroded materials by river or glacier.

- area around pacific ocean
- rocky mountain range
- mountain range of America
- The Andes Mountain Range.
- East Asia, Asian Himalayas, the hindukush
- the Suleiman mountain range of Iron
- turkey and mountain range of Europe
- Alphas mountain in Range.
* Preventive measure of Earthquake
- using life materials for constructing buildings
- Constructing houses using the principles of earthquake safely set up.
- Turning off electric and gas appliances during earthquake.

- be in touch with radio and tv to know about preventive measures of earthquake.
* Effects of Earthquake
- disappearance of high altitude and formation of newland
- loss of life and property
- destruction of infrastructure of development.
- break out of epidemics and other problems.
- causes natural calamaties like landslide, soil erosion, Tsunami etc
- cracking of earth surface and cause volcano.

My visit to Lumbini

 1. Introduction Educational tour is the best way to get knowledge about anything. To get knowledge about historical, religious and natural importance of Lumibini our school organized a four days long educational tour from 25 th -28 th of Kartik 2071. We students of grade 9 and 10 including teachers headed towards Lumbini which lies at the distance of 227 km away from Kathmandu valley. Altogether we were 40 students and 8 teachers including school staff. To make our tour fruitful we have designed some objectives. 2. Objectives a)        To know about cultural and religious importance of Lumbini. b)        To gain knowledge about life of Lord Buddha. c)        To know about geographical and climatic condition of Lumbini . 3.
